Singapore 2014

It was my first time visiting Singapore. I came there for new year with my family. A country that is pretty close from Indonesia, second home for most of Indonesians. My Singaporean friend told me that where have I been, haha well, at least, finally, I was there. Singapore is the first country that most Indonesians visit on their first abroad trip.

My first impression about this country is the food. They, the people here have good taste, real foodies. Yes, I know it, they really into food. Singapore food is fusion of Chinese, Malay, and Indonesian. So, you'll find wonton noodle, ice kachang, nasi lemak, and of course chicken rice. Carrot cake is my favorite, it's not the sweet carrot cake that known in most of western countries. It's a savoury dish made from daikon, closely like turnip cake in Chinese dim sum. It was so good. If you ever visit Singapore, you should try the carrot cake. There are two version the white and black, I prefer the white one.

I'm a fan of street food and one of the most famous Singaporean street food is their ice bread. It costed only 1 Singapore Dollar. There are many flavors to choose from chocolate to durian. It can be served with a slice of bread or between light crisp wafer.

  1. There are a couple of intriguing points soon enough in this article but I do not know if them all center to heart. There is certainly some validity but I am going to take hold opinion until I explore it further.
