Rose-Shaped Apple Cinnamon Pie Recipe (Resep)

After seeing the video from one of my favorite Chef John from Food Wishes on Youtube, finally I decided to make my own, though I saw some people did it on Pinterest but the video is so much easier to follow.

Rose-Shaped Apple Cinnamon Pie Recipe (Resep)

  • Royal Gala Apples or Granny Smith
  • puff pastry
  • 5 tbsp sugar or as needed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • melted butter
  1. Sliced the apple thinly and diagonally
  2. Place the sliced apple on a plate and microwave for about 1 to 2 minutes until the apple is pliable or you can also soaked the apple in a salted water
  3. On your working counter, place the puff pastry. Cut the pastry around 4-5 cm width and 20-25 cm long. The longer the pastry, the bigger pie you'll get
  4. Brush the pastry with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, place the sliced apple overlapping one to another just like in the video, here or full version on Youtube.
  5. Fold in the puff pastry covering half of the apple, and roll up
  6. Seal the end with egg wash or water, put it in muffin tin.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven on 200C for about 20 minutes
