Chicken Schnitzel Recipe (Resep)

  • 2 Chicken Breast Fillet, skinless
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1-2 cups bread crumbs, I used panko
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying + butter
  1. Flatten the chicken using a meat tenderizer (less than 1 cm thickness), season it with salt and pepper, set a side
  2. Prepare 3 containers for egg, flour, and crumbs, season each part with salt and pepper, add in some oregano and parmesan into the flour and crumbs
  3. First, chicken goes into the flour, then egg, lastly into the crumbs
  4. Fry on a pan, use medium heat
  5. Cook until golden brown, drain on paper towel
  6. Best to be served with mashed potato and squeezed of lemon juice or gravy
  7. Guten Appetit!

The key in making schnitzel is to flatten the chicken (actually you can also use pork or veal). You can store the coated un-fried chicken in a freezer and fry it whenever you want. Make sure to cover it with plastic wrap or store in plastic container.
