Easy Recipe: Resep Kue Cubit Setengah Matang

Currently the most popular snack here in Indonesia, it's 'kue cubit'! Tiny pancake that is likely to be served half cooked with various toppings from the classic chocolate meises, KitKat, to Oreo.

Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar or more if you want it sweeter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanili or vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk / coconut milk / water, or as needed
  • 3 tbsp butter / margarine, melted
  • a pinch of salt (if you use unsalted butter / margarine)
Those are all you need to make the kue cubit batter, but of course you can upgrade your kue cubit by adding 1 tbsp green tea powder or to make it even better, I added mine with 3 tbsp of durian meat. Some people are not into durian so you can add your favorite flavor as you like, or various toppings cheese, oreo, or chocolate granules / meises, the very common one.

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients together, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the mold, and lightly coat with cooking oil. Pour the batter, cook in low heat until the bottom is set but still runny on top, add your favorite topping, enjoy!

Note: you can use takoyaki or poffertjes mold
