Yamagoya Ramen Baywalk Mall

I've been craving for ramen for a while, so I decided to arrange to have some ramen for Sunday brunch with Ellyna. Forget the egg, ham, and toast for a while, because this Japanese noodle dish really can bring my appetite back. I was so sad that earlier I lost my appetite and keep craving for Asian food that has strong flavor. It's Yamagoya Ramen, located at Baywalk Mall at north Jakarta.

Yamagoya Ramen (IDR 58.000) it served with tonkotsu base soup, pork chashu, tamago (egg), bamboo sprout (rebung), and nori.

While Ellyna had the Yamagoya ramen, I got the Black Garlic Ramen (IDR 55.000). It has the same tonkotsu base soup with additional black garlic seasoning. I ordered extra tamago because it's only served with few slices of chashu and sprouts. The egg has jelly texture and well marinated in soy sauce. When it comes to noodle, I prefer the chewy, thick, and wavy one but they only have one (thin and straight noodle) so I have no to choose.

Gyoza is probably the most ordered side dish to accompany ramen, don't you agree? Every ramen restaurant serve gyoza, it can be pork or chicken, deep fried or pan fried, and I have not found the special one. We ordered Gyoza (IDR 29.000), got 6 pieces in total so we got 3 each. The gyoza was nice, juicy and flavorful.

As not many ramen place in Jakarta that serve black garlic ramen, so I think you should give a try. It's Hakata style ramen that has with thick and rich broth, the black garlic seasoning makes it even better. So the black garlic ramen definitely the one you should order when you come to Yamagoya. They also have some rice dishes in you don't feel like having noodle.
