- 2 cups cooked chickpeas
- 2 cloves garlic, pureed
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1/2 cup basil leaves
- 1/2 cup kale or spinach
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor until well combined.
- Form the falafel balls, at this point you can deep fry it or bake in the oven
- Falafel best served in a wrap with veggies and hummus
