St. Germain Grand Indonesia by Cacaote

St. Germain is the the sibling of a well-known dessert parlour Cacaote Senopati. I came there just a day after their opening. Well, I didn't manage to be there but a friend of mine Cindy. So, we came for early dinner together with my dearest red lady Ellyna, Nydia, and Agnes. We're not coming for desserts because we're all still hungry even we just got plenty of doughnuts and chocolate drinks from an event that we visited earlier. We're lucky enough to have the owner explained about the restaurant and the menus. One special thing here that you couldn't find at Cacaote is their colorful Choux pastry.

Short Rib Burger (IDR 135.000) juicy and tender sliced beef ribs with melted cheese on bed of mix veggies dressed with gingery seasoning. It's quite interesting that they put ginger as a seasoning for a burger, I find it not common but I enjoyed the burger.

Rice & Duck (IDR 95.000) I think this is the only rice dish I could find on the menu, well I was too hungry, have no time to explore all the menus. Pulled duck meat mixed with rice and tomato based seasoning. I am not a fan of duck but this dish is actually quite nice, closely like bolognese baked rice, the duck meat was tender, and got some potato chips as a side.

Granola - we got this as a complimentary dish, and I love it!! Creamy mascarpone cheese topped with sweet and sour fruit puree, crunchy granola, chopped berries, and edible flowers. Definitely one you should try on the menu, it was not to sweet, it's just lovely.

If it's a football game then here's the man of the match, St. Germain Choux pastry. Another complimentary dish we got that night, my selection was the strawberry cheesecake Choux. There were lychee and mango too but the strawberry cheesecake is my personal favorite. Did I said we're not coming for dessert? I'll make it clear, if you asked me a reason to come back thete it's definitely because of their Choux and oh the granola!

  1. There is a full bar close to the activity area at our fun team building activities for work. Dessert was a presentation of cookies (all looked homemade) and my favorite was the white chocolate, macadamia nut.
