Strawberry Banana Smoothies



The very simple and easy fruit smoothies. Strawberry and banana are cheap and also available like everywhere. You don't need extra sugar or any other sweetener, just make sure that the banana is ripe. Over-ripe banana, the one with brown spots, don't throw that away. Peel the banana, cut into 4-5 pieces, put in an air tight container, and freeze it. You can use if for smoothies. According to livestrong.com, overripe banana packed with antioxidant, the brown spotted banana is a sign that the antioxidant levels have increased. While unripe banana is full of complex carbohydrates, overripe banana is easy to digest as it ripens the starch changes to simple sugar.

Ingredients:
  • 2 frozen banana
  • a cup of fresh strawberries
  • water if needed
Directions:
Blend the frozen banana and fresh strawberries, add water if needed.
