Day Trip To Colmar Tropicale at Berjaya Hills from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

When I decided to make a trip to Malaysia, I got excited because I really want to visit this place. Colmar Tropicale is a resort located at Berjaya Hills that is 45 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur. It reminds me about Strasbourg, I feel like going back to Alsace. Colmar Tropicale was built resembling the actual 16th Century Village in Alsace named Colmar.

I went there with a friend of mine Vendryana she's also blogging for MoinBlog. There was a little confusion before we decided to go to Colmar Tropicale because we have so little time with a lot of things to do and places to visit. Even worse when a friend that lives in Kuala Lumpur said the place is not as nice as in picture especially if you've been to Europe. It was almost 1 pm, we rushed to the shuttle point, we were lucky that there were still seats for us because the shuttle only runs 3 times a day. We bought a ticket for departure at 1 pm and go back at 6.30 pm. If you like to come on weekend better book your ticket earlier not at the same day, just to secure your seat.

After almost an hour, finally we arrived! It's pretty but I'm not really impressed, well probably because I've been to Strasbourg before and I think my expectation was too high. But after I stepped my feet passing the gate, I started saying "whoaa"! Get your camera ready because you definitely don't want to lose the moment. Every corner of this place is great for photography. There's nothing much to do here but sightseeing and taking pictures. You can climb up to the tower to get better view from above. If you feel hungry don't worry there are few restaurants here and a bakery.

Berjaya Hills has more than Colmar Tropicale, you can stay at the hotel and enjoy the chill weather but there's one more thing that I think it's a must for you to visit. It's Japanese Garden, to get there you can hop to a free shuttle that runs around Berjaya Hills resort. We did not stay for the night but we got 2 hours left to explore this place before the shuttle leaving to the city at 6.30 pm. The place is quiet and peaceful, with its pond and little stream, so pretty! If you want to come here, it's better on weekdays because based on our visit, there were not so many tourists and of course it's better for taking pictures and for us, videos :)

How To Get There
Take a shuttle from Berjaya Times Square (Monorel station: Imbi). You can get the shuttle ticket at Berjaya Times Square level 8 lot 54, the office is also a spa so don't bother to ask. The shuttle located outside the building, find 7-Eleven at ground floor, go out, and turn left, the shuttle is next to the Hotel entrance west wing.

The shuttle service only runs 3 times / day:
From Berjaya Times Square to Colmar Tropicale: 10 am - 1 pm - 3 pm
From Colmar Tropicale to Berjaya Times Square: 11.30 am - 3 pm - 6.30 pm

1 way - Colmar Tropicale to Berjaya Times Square: MYR 25/person
1 way - Berjaya Times Square to Colmar Tropicale: MYR 35/person (incl. entrance ticket)
