Cheesy Penne Pasta

  • 1/2 cup dry penne or any pasta of your choice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • herbs: parsley or oregano
  1. Cook the pasta by following the instructions on the packaging
  2. On a pan, make a roux by slowly melt the butter and add the flour
  3. Pour the milk, add the nutmeg, cheddar cheese and parmesan, season with some salt and pepper
  4. Add the pasta into the sauce, sprinkle some herbs and a little bit of parmesan, enjoy!

* 1 portion pasta is about 1/2 cup dry short pasta and about 1/2 inch diameter dry long pasta
